What This Kit is Used For
This 300-hour maintenance kit is designed for scheduled 300-hour service on Mercury Racing 500R 4.6L V8 FourStroke outboards. It does not include engine oil or gear lube, so you can choose your preferred fluids.
Fluid requirements are approximately 7 quarts of engine oil (Mercury 10W-30 Full Synthetic or 10W-30 MRX Racing Oil recommended) and approximately 1 quart of gear lube (Mercury Extreme Performance 85W-90 recommended).
